If you think this is a post that I am going to preach to you all the things that you should do when you cannot sleep – well, you would be very wrong. Instead, I am going to be real with you. I am going to tell you all the reasons why I cannot sleep, in the hope that somehow, schadenfreude, will make you feel better about yourself and take some form of pity on me and my sleeplessness.
It all started when I forgot to go to the pharmacy and pick up my prescription. My medication eases my pain and helps me to get to sleep. But I was lazy, I wanted to watch Shane Dawson’s Youtube series and couldn’t be arsed going out. One night with no meds won’t hurt! I am tired anyway. Nope – brain and body did not like that one and have protested since 10pm when it knew the pharmacy was shut.
One of the cats is on heat. Yes, I know, she needs spaying. But I’ve been a bit preoccupied with staying out of hospital and then keeping one of my other cats alive due to low potassium levels and a £600 vet bill to get her done. So, with her being on heat, and calling, it makes for oh, so, peaceful sleep.
Said cat peed on my bed because I shut her in my room for 10 mins while I moved the male cat out the way. Not just on the bed, the duvet cover as well, soaked through. I have cleaned it all up but now the bed is soaked and cold.
I have lost my V5 document to the car, but I know where it is – if you know what I mean. But that is driving me mad.
I have a head full of projects and WordPress shortcodes, the only thing to do was to come on here and get some of it out of my head. It’s not helping – in fact it is sending me down the rabbit hole.
I am addicted to a mobile game and ran out of hearts.
I drank coffee at 4am.
I also said I would be out for work meetings in the morning – bearing in mind the people who I had arranged to meet with are probably getting up around about now so they can open up the Community Hub Cafe for breakfast – I doubt I will be human enough to attend and may just communicate via email, or snoring.
Tell me why you are having problems sleeping!
