Breakfast is not normally something that I focus on. I am not usually hungry in the mornings, opting for coffee or something later on. But once in a blue moon I fancy breakfast, and by that I mean a proper breakfast, one with all the trimmings. I have a local place that I go to occasionally for heavenly eggs florientine with beautiful coffer topped with chocolate shavings. In February we were invited to Worsley in Manchester to sample what had been voted the best breakfast in the North West. We would be fools to turn it down.
The welcoming hotel with its stylish decor and beautiful grounds give you a sense of over all relaxation as you arrive. A short walk across the hotel and you are met by welcoming staff who are a pleasure to chat to.
We were astounded by the breakfast selection on offer for all the family. Not only were the usual continental breakfast and full English breakfast options available, there were also freshly cooked omelettes and waffles made to order on the breakfast bar. Nathan proclaimed that the waffles were a thing of beauty and that he could eat them all day long.
I opted for a cooked breakfast and porridge which was a great start to the day before we went shopping in Manchester.
A little shock to us was to see Nathan’s head teacher and husband come down for breakfast too as they had been hotel guests. They told us they stay there at the end of every term before travelling to visit family and the breakfasts are one of the reasons they keep coming back.
The friends who we took along with us for breakfast were singing the praises of the hotel accessibility for those visitors who may be disabled or require access. The counter tops had been lowered slightly which gave Lily a better view of the food and cooking process. It was also lovely to hear that the disabled toilet facilities were also styled the same as the main toilet facilities as these are sometimes overlooked and left to a basic standard.

We were provided with a complimentary breakfast for our thoughts and review.
